A 12-Week Neuro-Physical After School Program for Focus, Impulse Control, and Self-Regulation
Target Student Profile: Students with ADHD, Attention-Deficit Challenges, Sensory Processing Needs, or Emotional Dysregulation (Primary 3 to Secondary 3)
Program Duration: 12-Week School Term | 1 Session per Week | 45 Minutes per Session
Cohort Capacity: 6 to 8 students per group (to maintain strict behavioral oversight)
Delivery Model: Fully manualized curriculum executed on-site by our trained coach
SUMMARY
Kinetic Brain Tracks is a highly structured, neuro-behavioral curriculum that utilizes aerobic movement as a natural primer for executive function. By introducing technical tracking tasks on the running track, we actively exercise the brain networks responsible for sustained concentration, working memory, and impulse inhibition.
Furthermore, by integrating Omnifit Brain EEG/PPG technology, we eliminate subjective guesswork, providing schools and families with an objective, data-backed approach to emotional self-regulation.
SECTION 1: THE ANTECEDENT “TRAFFIC LIGHT” PROTOCOL
To eliminate behavioral crises on campus and protect the school from operational liability, our coaches run a 60-second digital screening using the Omnifit headset before any student begins physical training. The system reads the student’s baseline stress and focus wave metrics to dictate their specific track for the afternoon:
- 🔴 Red Track (Hyper-Reactive / High Agitation): If a student logs an exceptionally high autonomic stress response, the curriculum automatically bars them from competitive or high-stakes drills. They are shifted to steady, rhythmic, bilateral walking/jogging patterns designed explicitly to calm and down-regulate the nervous system.
- 🟡 Yellow Track (Hypo-Reactive / Sluggish): If a student presents low energy or extreme focus-drift, they enter a 3-minute “Sensory Activation” warmup (stamping, rapid coordination changes) to stimulate dopamine and norepinephrine, priming the brain for learning.
- 🟢 Green Track (Regulated / Ready): The student enters the standard active running circuits and high-level executive function tracking games.
SECTION 2: THE 45-MINUTE LESSON ARCHITECTURE
ADHD and anxious brains thrive on predictability. Our sessions enforce a strict, repeatable structure to reduce transition anxiety:

SECTION 3: 12-WEEK TERM SYLLABUS & CORE MEASURABLES
Our curriculum gradually shifts students from external co-regulation (the coach and rules keeping them on track) to internal self-regulation (the student managing their own state).
Phase 1: The Impulse Brake (Weeks 1–4)
- Target Metrics: Compliance (Impulse Inhibition) & Concentration (Sustained Attention)
- Core Drills: “Statue Sprints” and “Tunnel Vision Lanes.” Students practice maintaining a starting stance and moving strictly on specific cues, as well as maintaining a straight running path while intentionally ignoring planned, mild auditory and visual distractions placed outside their lane.
Phase 2: Cognitive Flexibility & Pacing (Weeks 5–8)
- Target Metrics: Executive Function (Working Memory) & Pacing Modulation
- Core Drills: “The 3-Gear Shift” and “Memory Matrix Runs.” Students practice shifting their running speeds (sprinting, jogging, slow walking) instantly on command to practice physical self-control. They also navigate multi-step physical paths (e.g., “Sprint to Blue, 3 hops at Yellow, backward jog to Red”) that change every lap to exercise working memory.
Phase 3: Autonomy & Sensory Recovery (Weeks 9–12)
- Target Metrics: Sensory Self-Regulation & Recovery Latency
- Core Drills: “The Heart-Rate Reset.” Immediately following an intense running interval, students must transition to a stationary training mat, slip on the Omnifit headset, and apply a structured box-breathing protocol. They watch the live relaxation data, practicing how to actively down-regulate their own brainwaves and physiological arousal after periods of high exertion.
SECTION 4: SCHOOL COMPLIANCE, SAFETY, & DATA DELIVERABLES
We understand the administrative, documentation, and care burdens placed on school staff. Project Protea is engineered to seamlessly integrate into your school’s existing ecosystem:
- Classroom Behavioral Spillover: The skills practiced on our track—inhibiting impulsive reactions, holding multi-step instructions in mind, and self-soothing after a high-energy event—directly mirror the core executive functions required to sit, listen, and focus at a classroom desk.
- Mitigation of Risk and Safety Liability: Traditional after-school sports can create high-stress environments where dysregulated students might act out or injure themselves. Our built-in Traffic Light Protocol acts as a operational safety gate, ensuring that overly stressed or volatile students are instantly diverted into calm, low-risk, grounding routines.
- Objective EDB & IEP Reporting: At the conclusion of the 12 weeks, Project Protea provides the school with an unalterable, data-rich longitudinal profile for each student. This report combines our coach’s track compliance scores with the objective pre- and post-run focus percentages from the EEG headsets, providing a ready-made data trail for parent meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) reviews.
