About Us

The protea flower is a marvel of nature—resilient, distinct, and uniquely capable of thriving through seasons of profound change.

At Project Protea, we believe that young, neurodiverse individuals possess that exact same resilience. However, unlocking this potential requires more than just patience; it requires deliberate physical momentum. True, lasting growth is an active journey, and our inclusive running club is built precisely at this intersection—where the clarity of a structured behavioral blueprint meets the transformative power of movement.

Based right here in Hong Kong, Project Protea is dedicated to breaking down barriers by providing the neurodiverse community with easy access to high-quality, sport-science training. By transforming the track into a pathway for confidence and focus, we ensure that every child can learn, grow, and take their next stride with certainty.

Our Mission

To cultivate an inclusive, affordable, and scientifically advanced athletic environment where neurodiverse children develop the bodily strength to learn, the emotional resilience to grow, and a lifelong commitment to lifting up the next generation through a self-sustaining circle of community support.

Our Team

Program Director — Provide the strategic vision, safety standards, and long-term developmental framework that anchor the entire program. His leadership ensures every session is grounded in evidence-based practice and community impact.

Lead Coaches — Each of our lead coaches brings 10+ years of coaching experience, specializing in training marathon runners and guiding athletes through high-performance pathways. Combine athletic excellence with strong foundations in sports science, biomechanics, and youth development.

Behavioral Specialists — Support younger runners by helping them take progress one small, confident step at a time. With expertise in child behavior and neurodiverse learning needs, they ensure every child feels safe, understood, and capable.

Community Coaches — Our future leaders — young adults who have grown through the program and are now stepping into mentorship roles. They bring authenticity, empathy, and lived experience, showing younger runners what growth truly looks like.
